Welcoming Franciscan Students

We host Franciscan students from Italy, Poland, Africa and beyond, supporting their English studies while they share in our prayer and community life.

History

Returning Home to Donegal

While the Franciscan presence in Donegal dates back to 1474, the modern Friary at Rossnowlagh was established in 1946. Opened and blessed in 1952, it marked the official return of the Order to the county after 350 years. Today, we carry forward the legacy of the Four Masters and the many friars who served this community through centuries of change.
